Write the Vision and Move Forward

We have committed to embracing a fresh start in Christ Jesus. We've mapped out our vision and the steps to achieve it. In other words, we are clear on our destination and the route to get there. But remember, be open to adjustments along the way.

Sometimes, the path we initially chose may not be the right one. So, don't fret. Just recalibrate, as your GPS would. When you veer off course, it simply says "Rerouting," right? We've all been there – missed a turn or opted for a familiar route, and the GPS steps in to figure out the best way forward from where we are.

Isn't that GPS amazing? It keeps rerouting you toward your set destination until you decide otherwise. It's for you, not against you. Who knew a GPS could be so profound? That message alone could preach a sermon! Now, what's next, you might ask. Here's what came to me as I prepared for this journey.

Remember, the journey itself is not the final destination (the process). Don't get too caught up in that. Stay focused on where you're heading – the goal (the end result or the purpose)! And don't give up until you reach it. It's crucial to establish this upfront. As soon as we set out, challenges will arise to try and derail us. Don't let them.

To stay on track, we need an accountability partner who will ask the tough questions: What are you doing? Where are you going? Why are you stopping here? Who's in the car with you? Your accountability partner should genuinely want to see you succeed. Avoid those who tempt you with cheesecake when they know you're avoiding sweets. They're not invested in your success. Find someone who is.

We're in a profoundly strategic season. God is poised to exceed our expectations with plans that were laid before the world began. But the church – that's us – must also be positioned. These discussions about fresh starts aren't random; they're strategic.

It's time for the church to reflect the image of Jesus. What better way to convey this than through families, His first created beings? God desires our focus to return to Him.

It took a week to write down my vision – I kept writing, revising, and expanding until it all clicked. So, it may not come quickly. But, I realized this is my mission from the Lord. My purpose is wrapped up in a fresh start with the Lord. And creates a fresh start, a clean slate for my life. Simple words, yet profound in purpose. Does this make sense?

In closing, this narrative beautifully outlines the journey of embracing a fresh start both in Christ and as a parent. It emphasizes the importance of clarity in vision and flexibility in navigating challenges along the way.

Just as a GPS recalibrates when we veer off course, we too must adjust and stay focused on our ultimate destination, whether in spiritual growth or parenting goals. The call for accountability partners underscores the need for supportive relationships that genuinely foster growth and success.

Ultimately, the narrative encourages aligning our lives with God's purpose and reflecting His image, particularly within the context of family. It highlights the transformative power of a fresh start rooted in faith and intentionality.
